Toy Fair NY 2025 Best in Show: Jazwares!

There really wasn't a lot of new Star Wars product at Toy Fair this year. Some of the vendors cited the lack of any theatrical release this year, expecting much more for 2026 and 2027. So LEGO had a few new sets to reveal, which we weren't allowed to photograph. Hasbro didn't show of anything new. And there was a smattering of stuff here and there. The only major manufacturer who barreling through 2025 firing on all cylinders, and thus our 2025 Best in Show, is Jazwares!

The Micro Galazy Squadron line has proven to be a tremendous success for Jazwares, and they're continuing to plumb the recesses of Star Wars canon to bring us unique and highly-detailed ships. A number of them were on display around the outside perimeter of their massive booth (along with their Vader Primalux costume).

We had an appointment to visit with Jazwares Saturday morning. Once we gained access to the interior of their massive booth, we got to check out a bunch of new releases, including an Arc-170 that was featured on Good Morning America just hours earlier!

We love how they continue to give us great ships from the more esoteric realms of Star Wars, including The Clone Wars, Rebels, and Ahsoka. That is in part because they kind of put themselves in a bind by committing to all their vehicles being the same scale. When you can't release a capital ship because it'd have to be the size of a school bus, you gotta dig deep to continue the line beyond the staples. But they also do it because they just have a deep and appreciable love for Star Wars. That passion shines through all the produce.
After we finished our tour, our guide Bobby leaned in and invited us to a special event Sunday afternoon. They were "opening the vault" at their booth to reveal a bunch of new product, and they hoped we could be there. It was an event straight out of the Toy Fair days of yore, highlighted by an actual celebrity emerging from the vault to reveal his new action figure.

Inside the vault a wide assortment of new toys was revealed, including Pokémon, Halo, and Chainsaw Man (a personal favorite). But the highlight for us was, of course, the new Star Wars ships!

Their collection boxes are limited and thus tough to get, but they include the chase vehicles so it's worth the effort.
Jazwares put on the kind of Toy Fair show we used to enjoy regularly pre-pandemic, with all the pomp and circumstance that demonstrates you really care about your product and want to get the word out to the masses. It was all fantastic. We met with many helpful, enthusiastic vendors and saw some good Star Wars stuff, but Jazwares brought their A game in a way that outshined all others. Congrats to Jazwares for knocking our socks off!
