Droids Customs: Now (occasionally) with custom coins!

Over Labor Day weekend I travelled with Star Wars friends to Indiana, to visit other Star Wars friends. Fun event. Lots of conversations. And one conversation worked its way around to my Droids Customs.

Mark Huber, one of my consistent loyal Droids Customs customers, asked which coins I'd be using for Nein Nunb. I told him I planned to use casts of the Millennium Falcon coin. So he was like "Would you consider using a Nein Nunb coin instead?" And I was like "There wasn't a Nein Nunb coin." And he was like "Would you consider using my Nein Nunb coin? Oh yeah... and I also have General Madine!"

Mark and Broc Walker produced custom coins for swag at Star Wars Celebration, ordered from the same factory that made the original Power of the Force coins in 1985. Thing is - when you order coin runs like this, you gotta order A LOT. So Mark had a bunch of leftovers. And he offered to give me enough for my Nein Nunb and Madine runs.

This is all very exciting! Hopefully the primer and gold paint take to these coins as well as they do my cast plastic ones, and I'll be able to offer something genuinely unique. I still have a two other customs to complete before I get to either of those guys, but it's definitely something to look forward to.
