So here we are, finally! We got to the park right when it opened and made a beeline for Batuu. Upon entering the area, I immediately started taking in the sights, the sounds, the smells, and all of this even before we even got to Black Spire Outpost! I figure I'd break it down by locations because there's just so much to talk about, and so many pictures to share. Image Image

Our first stop was the cantina. I ordered a Yub Nub (alcoholic) and a Cliff Dweller (non-alcoholic), and some Batuu bits to snack on. Each of the drinks came in a souvenir glass for you to take home. They were out of the Rancor beer flight, and wouldn't be getting any more in until sometime in Sept. What they do is give you the drink in that specific glass, but when you're ready to leave, they give you a glass that's "MIB" as the one you'll be taking home. Showing the waitress all of my Star Wars tats got me a complete set of the SW coasters. After I had finished my drinks, I walked around the cantina and took pictures. DJ Rex was busy spinning tunes, keeping the place hopping! Image

If visiting Oga's Cantina is a priority for you when you come to "Galaxy's Edge", you should download the app (Disney World or Disneyland, depending on which park you're visiting) and use it to make a reservation, because when I got there and asked the guy outside if this was indeed the cantina, he replied; "Yes, but you have to have a reservation." Much of the following information comes directly from the app. For WDW, you can make reservations up to 6 months in advance, for DL, you can make them up to two weeks in advance, but I hear that's going to be changing to 6 months as well. When making a reservation on the app, they ask for number of guests in your party, and also show you all available times for your selected date, depending if you're going there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. A credit card guarantee of $5.00 is required (at least that was the amt. I had to put up when I made our reservation, that may have changed by now, I do not know.) Guests should check in no earlier than 15 minutes prior to their reservation time, and each person in your party must be present upon check-in. Late arrivals may not be accommodated. The cantina is primarily standing room, with limited seating. Seating is not guaranteed when you make your reservation. Each party is limited to 45 minutes, but how they keep track of that I have no idea. Image

They gave me a bag to carry my glasses in, and by some weird coincidence, one of their menus ended up in there as well, I have absolutely no idea how it got in there as they neither sell them, nor give them out for free.
