Indiana Jones and the Sith Stone

Indy was led into the same large room he was in a month ago, except now the large window was covered by an even larger dark crimson curtain. Discreet recessed lighting lined the walls and gave the whole room an eerie feel to it. Without the expansive cityscape to distract him, he immediately zeroed in on his host, sitting at the head of an expansive black oval shaped table in the center of the room.

"That wasn't there before, was it?" He asked himself. No way he could have missed something that big.

Around the massive table, were a dozen high backed chairs, each one placed exactly the same distance from the others. Sidious occupied one chair, the rest were empty, save for the one at the opposite end of the table, in which a purple-clad figure sat. At least the color looked purple from what he could tell.

"Greetings Dr. Jones," Sidious said in his most pleasant voice. "Please, join us. May I offer you some light refreshment?"

"No thanks." Indy replied bluntly as he came to a stop at the edge of the table, making sure he was equidistant from his captor and the unknown guest.

Sidious dismissed TC-10 with a wave of his hand. Before the droid had even left the room, he continued. "I hope your research time has proved profitable for you?"

"We'll soon see, won't we?"

"Indeed we shall, Dr. Jones, and I hope it was time well spent...for all our sakes. Please, have a seat."

Glancing down at the chair closest to him, he gave it a quick once over to make sure it wouldn't gas him or electrocute him before he complied.

"Now, as I'm sure the droid informed you, you will depart tomorrow, between now and then, you must decide which world you will journey to first, based upon the information I am about to show you. Accompanying you on this journey will be TC-10, along with another droid whom you will meet tomorrow, and of course, your pilot and protector." With that, he indicated his guest sitting at the opposite end of the table with a wave of his hand. The guest arose from their chair, crossed to where Indy was sitting, and sat down on the edge of the table right next to him. He could see now that this...person was indeed dressed in purple, with an odd looking helmet atop their head, and a cloth attached to it which was now draped across their face, obscuring everything but the eyes.

"What is it with everyone needing to cover their faces?" Indy wondered.

"Dr. Jones," Sidious said, "meet Zam Wesell."

With that, the figure detached the cloth from one side of the helmet, letting him see that what he originally surmised was a he, was actually a she, and quite a pretty one at that.

Zam said nothing, but put her hand out, and Indy shook it lightly.

"She will take you wherever you need to go, Dr. Jones. I don't think I need to remind you that I will not have mine or her time wasted, and any attempts to escape will be met with the harshest of punishments, are we clear?"

Indy said nothing, just simply turned his head toward Sidious and nodded once.

"Good. Know I will have other agents in the field that will be monitoring your progress. Even if you are able to escape her grasp, you will surely be unable to escape theirs. Now, I have something to show you."

Using his Force power, Sidious lifted an object obscured by a cloth off of the floor next to him, and levitated it across the table to the center of it. There he placed it down and, still using his powers, flung the cover from the object, and the cloth floated silently away and down to the floor. The object itself was a cube of some sort, not much bigger than the palm of one's hand. It looked to have many intricate designs and etchings all over the face of it, and seemed to glow from within.

This is the Sith holocron that belonged to Darth Malek. My master found it on the unknown world some time ago, and began his own search for the crystal. Being his apprentice, he included me on his quest, and after his...demise, I vowed to continue the search, but time and other priorities took precedence. That is why you are here. Now pay close attention, Dr. Jones, within this cube you will find the clues to your quest. Of course, not being able to use the Force, the cube will remain here with me, but as you shall see, it will still be a valuable tool for you."

With that, Sidious used the Force to activate the cube, and the light from within seemed to grow brighter and brighter until an image of a man with a bald head, and a metal plate for a lower jaw, appeared and addressed the assembled party.

"What is it you wish of me?" Malek commanded.

Sidious bowed his head in reverence before speaking. "Oh, mighty Lord Malek, I desire to harness your power. I seek to find the crystal you created, and use it to harness the power of the dark side."

Malek let out a hearty laugh. "Do you really think you are able to harness MY power??? Do you even consider yourself worthy to even stand before me? We shall soon see. Soon I will know if you are truly one with the dark side, or simply some pathetic vermin that deserves to be trampled underfoot. Many have tried to locate it, none succeeded. Know this, even if you are able to discover its hiding place, only a true Sith will be able to bring forth its power. Any lesser acolyte will be completely consumed by it. Do you still wish to proceed?"

"Indeed I do, Master Malek, indeed I do."

"Very well then, if you were able to find this holocron and access it, you must have some sense of the Sith and the dark side about you, now, let's put it to the test and see if the dark side truly IS with you. By now, you should know the worlds that contained the star maps, you must venture to all of them and make peace with each of them. I will know if you have been successful, and will then supply you with the necessary information as to where to go next. Your first assignment is to determine, when is a man, more than a man?" With that, the image disappeared.

Sidious turned to Indy, "well Dr. Jones, you have until tomorrow to come up with the appropriate answer, I suggest you get to work immediately on that...for your sake."
