The Legend of Gungan Hollow

Sit back everyone and
Ill tell you a tale
That by the time Im
done, it will leave you pale
Ill start at the
beginning, where most stories do
On the peaceful, idyllic,
word of Naboo
The events of The
Phantom Menace have long since passed,
But the residual effects
continue to last.
It seems the swamps are
now haunted by a rider in black
And all those who travel
at night fall under attack
Its believed the
rider is a dead Sith Lord
Whose demise at Theed
palace was his final reward.
He traverses the swamps,
not trying to impress,
Just looking for a body
for his soul to possess.
There are no volunteers
up for the giving,
But its the only
way hell ever return to the living.
Now I promise to keep
this from getting too gory,
But lets get on
with the rest of the story.
Rather than waiting until
the first light of morning,
A lone Gungan traveled
the swamps, without heeding the warning.
Now being in the swamp,
the rider didnt want to stay,
But has fate would have
it, he lost his way.
Directions were something
he did not know best.
His North became South,
and East became West.
Then the wind picked
up, and storm clouds rolled by
The Gungan felt a chill
down his back, yet he did not know why.
Riding his Kaadu, he
picked up the pace,
He knew he had to get
out of this place.
As he rode along, the
swamps did abound
With many a different
animal sound.
Each noise was made with
a different pitch and force,
Yet he was unable to
determine their source
They came from everywhere,
and all of them at once.
How did he ever get lost?
He truly felt the dunce.
Each passing moment filled
him with more and more dread.
From this late night
excursion, he might end up dead.
He spurred his mount
faster, and faster even still.
For now this became,
a sheer test of will.
He forged on, and pressed
ahead, but the going was slow,
For he still had no clue
which way he should go.
Then off in the distance,
a wondrous scene,
For high atop his Kaadu,
the grassy plains could be seen.
The night would soon
be over, and all would be right.
For the sky began to
show mornings first light.
He focused on the plains
ahead, and his caution became lax,
For then he heard a sound
behind him, that made him stop in his tracks.
He turned around to look,
and the sight nearly made him fall,
For some distance behind
him, stood the spirit of Darth Maul.
The Sith pointed at the
Gungan, and flashed an evil grin,
Ignited his double bladed
lightsaber, and hopped on the Bloodfin.
The Gungan kicked his
ride hard, and rode for all his worth,
He wanted to make sure
the Sith rider was given a wide birth.
He rode his mount hard,
but press on as he might,
His constant glances
behind him told him he was losing this fight.
Even though night was
fast approaching the morning hour,
He couldnt outride
a speeder of that power.
If he could just make
the plains, then the Sith would be at a loss,
For out of the swamps,
the Dark Lord could not cross.
The clearing approached,
and his hope swelled,
Bet with every glance
to the rear, that feeling was quelled.
How much distance was
left, he did not know,
But with the speeder
coming up fast, he knew he couldnt slow.
His goal was in sight,
he almost had it made.
Casting one final glance
behind him, and upon the Siths crimson blade.
Not wanting to concede
a loss in this fight.
The Sith raised the saber
above his head, and threw it with all his might.
The blades became a spinning
wheel of death.
The Gungan pushed his
ride for all its might, even though it was clearly out of breath.
Then
all went black.
They found his body shortly
after sunrise,
And to all his kin it
came to them as a surprise.
The Gungan was not struck
down by the Sith blade, you see.
Instead he forgot to
watch where he was riding and rode headfirst into a tree.
They thought the spirit
would take the corpse, and use it as its own.
But now late at night,
from the swamps they hear a moan.
They hear a wailing cry,
about how life really stinks,
Of all the Gungans that
had to fall, this one had to be Jar Jar Binks.
