Fans still demanding their CC.com (Part 4)

The city of Rosemont was not too happy regarding the events that took place at the Convention Center during WizardWorld Chicago ’07. The center had to be closed while the air conditioning units were replaced, so numerous shows and exhibitions had to be postponed or cancelled in the interim, costing the city thousands upon thousands of dollars in revenue.

Authorities gave the facility a thorough going over after they received the “all clear” from the bomb squad, and discovered a letter in one of the bathrooms detailing how some would like to see a certain SW fansite fall from popularity. They dusted it for prints, and now, those creators, designers, and webmasters of those less popular, not as well put together fansites are being investigated for acts of terrorism, with possible criminal charges to be filed shortly. After all, in executing a search warrant on one of the suspects’ residences, agents from the ATF found a box of thermal detonators that had been plant…I mean, kept there. (I, of course, was never questioned, as when I handled the letter, I was wearing gloves. Don’t know if I mentioned that before.) Hopefully they all will be brought to justice, and keep Rosemont from raising next year’s admission to $50.00 a person, and bringing the parking fee up to $25.00 a car.

I did however, come up with a great marketing gimmick. CC.com is now selling t-shirts with a picture of the Convention Center, complete with exploding air conditioning units, on the front. Surrounding the picture is the wording “I Had a BLAST at WizardWorld Chicago ‘07”. On the back of the shirt is the slogan “CC.Com Sucks”. The shirts are selling for $15.00 apiece, and were ordered from the manufacturer in sets of 50. I believe Bill just placed his 75th order. Can’t wait to see what’s going to happen at next years Con…
