Baldy's Meet & Greet!

Hello again and welcome back to another Meet and Greet with a VERY special guest! Unfortunately this collector would not allow me to get a name or place of birth/nationality. But, they were pretty helpful with questions that every collector worth his salt has had for a long, long time. Let me introduce "X", an actual real person and member of the elusive and hidden "Inner Circle".

BB: So, X, who are you really?
X: I am just an average Joe trying to have fun collecting the toys I love.

BB: Yeah, I bet. Really, who are you?
X: We are Borg.

BB: That figures. So, what exactly *is* the Inner Circle?
X: There is no Inner Circle.

BB: Now look, we all know there is one. Why can't you just come out and say it?
X: No comment.

BB: Fine, tell me this then. Is it true that the IC actually controls any and all Star Wars related prototypes, bootlegs and sales of them?
X: No. That is a rumor.

BB: A-HA! So there IS an Inner Circle!
X: I didn't say that.

BB: Whatever! Why does this group of elitest collectors try to keep the little guy down?
X: No one holds anything down. Anything that shows up as a proto or otherwise is available to anyone out there, not some group of people that thinks they are above anyone else. Where do you get these ideas from?

BB: Almost ANY online forum dealing with Star Wars has one or more accounts of people in the IC either keeping things from the "average" collector, actually making bootlegs for profit and even having hits put on other well known collectors! What do you have to say about any of that?
X: No comment.

BB: Geez, this is going well. Do you plan on answering any questions I have?
X: Maybe if you would ask me nicely.

BB: Really? Ok then. PLEASE, can you confirm anyone that is in the IC?
X: I will say this, you are very good friends with someone that is close to the IC.

BB: Close to or actually *in* it?
X: In.

BB: So there is an IC and I know someone in it? If I say thier name will you confirm it?
X: No.

BB: ARRGGHH! Ok, slow down, breathe Baldy, breathe......
X: You sound irritated. You should seek out help.

BB: Alright, have you personally ever known anyone in the IC to make proto's or bootlegs in thier basement?
X: No comment.

BB: Uh-huh. Any idea where that rumor may have started?
X: Someone was unhappy that they couldn't get a certain type of bootleg and purported that someone in the IC was making them in thier basement. No way that that could happen, especially the guy they blamed. *He* couldn't boil water, much less make a bootleg.

BB: Are you a male or female?
X: Male. Why?

BB: Just wondering. I have needs you know.
X: You NEED to watch it mister.

BB: Ok, one other big question. Is Tom Derby, Gus Lopez, or Brian Semling on the IC Board of Directors?
X: Who are those people? Never heard of them.....

BB: Rumors persist that members of the IC are all scalping vintage to the everyday collector and then spending it all on strippers and drugs. Any idea what really happens?
X: We never scalped any vintage stuff to anyone. But man we throw some bad-ass parties. One time we all went to Atlanta for a convention, took all kinds of pics of the local freaks, and one of the guys actually attacked someone, threw him through a table and then proceeded to puke his guts out in a bathroom. He later returned with a beer in hand ready for more.

BB: Well my ruse worked! I got you all comfy and then you slipped up and actually admitted to there being an Inner Circle! Man I am good.
X: I never actually said that. You are twisting my words around.

BB: No I didn't! You just said...
X: (Waves hand in a Jedi-Mind-Trick style) There IS no Inner Circle....

BB: There is no Inner Circle.....
X: Good boy. Now say, "I want to give X a dollar".

BB: I want to give X a dollar.
X: Thanks! That was nice of you.

BB: That was nice of me. Can I do anything else for you Chris?
X: No I am good for no.... HEY!! How did you know my name? Is there a camera in here? WTF??

BB: Don't mess with the best, you goof. Serves you right for trying to lie to ME. Who do you think pays the caterer?
