OK... it's time for a rant

I haven't written a good rant in a while. I guess the good life has made me soft or something. Or maybe it was because there really hasn't been much going on in the hobby of late. And you don't want to rant without being passionate about it... it'll come off stale and lame.

But this week, I have a reason to rant. The Rebelscum forums used to be the bees knees... the best Vintage community on the Internet. But it's going downhill... fast. It's a shadow of its former self. It's been brought to its knees mostly because of the efforts of one deranged individual - "Sith Lord Toys" Albert. He continues to create new user names and try to rejoin the community from which he's been banned. It's ruined the chemistry and openness of the forum. Threads such as this one have turned friends to rivals and have made the forums a hostile environment.

But I don't blame Albert. Albert should be in a mental hospital. He can't be held responsible for his actions. I blame the RS Mods. They're being play like fools. They keep doing the same thing over and over and over again, yet somehow expect a different outcome. They're either too lazy or too dumb to take any real action that would end this annoyance. They're content to allow the forum to continue being "All Albert, All the Time," despite the fact that Albert should be nothing but a distant memory at this point.

If the mods were a college mascot, they'd be the VT Hokies, because they've been castrated. If the mods had to take a prescription medication, it'd be Viagra because they're impotent. If the mods were a rat in a Skinner Box, they'd be the rat that keeps hitting the switch that gives them an electric shock. Over. And over. And over. Never learning anything new and never getting the little corn kernel.

The mods have allowed a guy who barely has the capacity to rub two brain cells together to not only dominate their forum, but to decimate it. Albert has single-handedly taken the strongest vintage community on the Internet and infected it with paranoia and hostility. The RS Mods MUST do something to resolve this problem. It's not that tough!! Jump on the phone and scream at his ISP until they act. Get a restraining order or a C&D. Write to his mom. Something!! ANYTHING!!! It's your forums guys... ACT LIKE IT! Otherwise your forum is going to continue deteriorating until the people who made it great are driven away.
