The Origin of Bubba

Since Galactic Postal Delivery has begun appearing here on CreatureCantina.com, one character has stood out among the rest, Bubba. Yes, the large, beer-swilling gorilla has become sort of fan-favorite to those loyal readers of GPD, and now has come the time to reveal the ORIGIN OF BUBBA!

(Note: This is based on the GPD universe and it's history. So, some of your favorite Star Wars characters will show up, but not entirely how you know them. They will be their "GPD self.")

Bubba was originally created as an Imperial Super Weapon under Grand Moff Tarkin's "Rule by Fear" Doctrine. Tarkin wanted the ultimate mechanized unit: something with the power of an AT-AT, with the sheer brute ferocity of a wild beast. Grand Admiral Thrawn was chosen to lead the project.

Thrawn decided to go with a gorilla as the test-subject, a beta-weapon to see if the project could be successful. To increase the gorilla's size, an experimental fermentation growth process was used. The result was a 14½', 1½-ton alcoholic gorilla. When Bubba sobers up he becomes aggressive beyond control and will go on a rampage until he gets more beer into his system. Being called a "monkey" will also bring out uncontrolled fury in Bubba.

As soon as Bubba was "activated", he went into an enraged fury that killed Thrawn and destroy the Imperial Lab Facility. Bubba escaped and began to run amok in Duct Tape City. Grand Moff Tarkin sent his best legion of Stormtroopers to track down and capture Bubba. They were promptly slaughtered.

Bubba's rampage eventually reached the point where the notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett was called in to bring Bubba in, Dead or Alive. Fett tracked Bubba down, and finally encountered him at the Hasbro Docks. Their battle lasted half-a-day and ended in a draw.

Shortly after his battle with Boba Fett, Bubba encountered Duct Tape City's most infamous drunks, Steve MkDanials and Dan'l Pieterson. They promptly got alcohol into Bubba's system and his sober rampage was at an end. Bubba became immediately attached to these "Bringers of Beer" and has been by their side ever since.

Bubba has since become DTC's unofficial mascot. He is loved by almost all its population and has become a truly great friend to those closes to him. Bubba possesses unlimited strength and is seemingly indestructible as no weapon has ever phased or harmed him.
