After murdering thousands of Jedi under the hire of the Sith, he was finally captured and permanently encased in Carbonite. He sat in waking hibernation for 4000 years until he was discovered and freed by Dooku. He now enacts his vengeance on the Jedi as Dooku's most loyal servant.
