Just over a week to go!!!

We are now officially in February!! No more waiting until next year. No more waiting until next month, now it's simply wait until next week! One of our local theaters is having a special SW day on Sat, Feb 11th, with giveaways, prizes, etc...but I'm already going to a wedding of one of my friends daughters that day. (Didn't they take things like this into consideration when they were planning this event, sheesh!) If it was going to be a SW-themed wedding, I'd totally understand, but it's not so I don't. Got hit with a nasty bout of the flu Sunday night, so I spent all of Monday either in bed or on the couch, rather than perusing the aisles for the latest Star Wars treasures, hope to have some energy left this evening to go out and about. And even more so, that there is actually stuff to be found! I've said it before and I'll say it again, when you have something this BIG, stores need to order not by the case, but by the truckload. Store racks should be replenished every hour, and any figures, toys, etc...that you are unable to locate, your name is put on a list and when said item does come in, you are notified post haste. This isn't brain surgery or rocket science, it's a simple case of supply and demand, and since events like this are so few and far between, we demand that our demands be met. Where the heck are the midnight openings??? Toys Readily Unavailable seems to be going the way of the Republic, mired in graft and corruption. But do any of today's politicians running for office address this problem? No, of course not! Where's Palpatine when we need him? Execute Order 66, bring on the Galactic Empire, maybe then we'll be able to find the toys we want and rightfully deserve, then we shall have...peace.
