When I received the text on that fateful morning, I was never happier.. Not only did Mr Cable ask me to share in CreatureCantina.com's toy fair reporting, but he informed me his flight in on Saturday wouldn't arrive until mid morning and would I able to cover the Lego Press event... he was entrusting the coverage to me..I of course was all over it! My name isn't Zack but I sure am a Lego maniac.. ( Yeah I've really dated myself with that reference!!)

They showed off several new Star Wars sets including the Jedi and Clone Troopers Battle Pack , Yoda’s Hut, and the Darth Maul Buildable Figure.

The battle pack was pretty standard fare with two clone troopers, Ki Adi Mundi and Barriss Ofee figures, plus what I guess would be a cross between a Republic gunship and a mini rig.

The Yoda's hut was a nice surprise, For as small a set as it is, it's got a lot going for it. You get Luke in Dagobah training costume plus Yoda and R2 to help him along. The hut was small but included a detailed interior. Play features were levitating crates, a vine to swing on and a stud so you can attach Yoda to Luke's back for Jedi Training. I'm a real softie for Original Trilogy sets and if you missed out the older Yoda hut and x wing, I think this set will do nicely for you. I cant think of anyone besides a Hooter's waitress that wouldn't want a new toy Yoda !! (damn another dated Joke!! )

Pictures and details were released pre-Toy Fair but they also showed off the Millennium Falcon from the Han solo movie.

As an owner of Every Falcon set ( except the new mega UCS one) I have to say this set really interests me. The build seems very similar to past Falcon sets, but it did have some new features added in. The first ( and most obvious is the Escape pod or cargo shuttle that sits between the front mandibles) its nice to see it as removable and when its not in place it gives it " that Falcon we all know and love " look. The interior is slightly different than past versions most notably some kind of bunk towards the back , there was also a bar right in front of said bunk ( probably stocked to gills with Lando's private colt 45 stash) There's also a cup holder in the cockpit right behind the pilot seat .. Wonder if the Falcon in the Han Solo movie is going to be one sleek fast party machine???
